As Were in the Days of Noah

When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

Matthew 24:37-39 NLT

Those of us who know Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior are intimately familiar with His immeasurable goodness. Day in and day out our Heavenly Father faithfully shows us that His love is perfect in every way. We testify to His goodness in small groups, at coffee shops, and through weeks long sermon series. Rightfully so. Jesus is truly sweeter than honey.

  • He is love - 1 John 4:8

  • He is the Lamb of God - John 1:29

  • He is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace - Isaiah 9:6-7

  • He will not allow anything to separate us from His love - Romans 8:38-39

Jesus is everything He says He is in those scriptures. He is also everything He says He is in the rest of the bible. Since the entire bible is God breathed, that means He is also the God of the Book of Revelation. God never stopped being a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29).

We are living in the end times. He is coming back again. In our culture today and across the globe, people still don’t realize what is about to happen. Let’s use Matthew 24:37-39 as motivation to tell everyone about Jesus.
